if you find a bird on the ground that looks like this:
DO NOT remove it unless it is in imminent danger (nearby cat, by a road, etc). fledgling baby birds are still learning to fly, but they do not need help - they are almost fully feathered, and their parents are still keeping an eye on them and helping them. removing them and taking them to a rehabber does more harm than good!
You can always use the Bernie Sanders eye test: if the baby looks like a Vermont senator, leave him to his important bird business
